Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this website or buy Get Recommended by AI: The Local Business Guide from Matthew Merrick ("I," "me"), a sole proprietor based in Merrick, New York.

What I collect

Purchase information. Payments are processed by Stripe. When you buy, Stripe collects your name, email address, billing details and payment card information. I do not receive or store your full card number. I receive your name, email, billing country/ZIP, and order details from Stripe so I can deliver the product, provide support and keep business records.
Emails you send me. If you email me, I keep your message and email address to reply to you.
Basic technical data. Like most websites, my web host may automatically log basic information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.

The private library page

After you buy, Stripe sends you to an unlisted page where you can read the guide and use the worksheets. Prompts you customize, checklist boxes, and worksheet answers are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not sent to me or stored on the server. Clearing your browser data removes them. You can download a text copy from that page first.

I don’t use advertising cookies or a marketing email list. I do use DataFa.st to count visits to these pages, including the guide. See datafa.st.

How I use it

To process your order, deliver the guide and send your receipt
To answer questions about your order
To keep accounting and tax records as required by law
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure

I don't sell your personal information. I won't add you to a marketing email list unless you choose to join one.

Who I share it with

Stripe, to process payments. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
DataFa.st, to count page visits.
My website host and email provider, which store data on my behalf.
Professional advisers or authorities, such as my accountant, or when required by law.

How long I keep it

I keep order records for as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes (typically several years), and emails for as long as they're useful for support.

Your choices

You can ask me to access, correct or delete your personal information, subject to records I'm legally required to keep. Email mattmerrick23@gmail.com.

Children

This site and product are intended for business owners and are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top of this page.
